"Worn Well"

These handsome boots belong to a working cowboy friend of mine. He was about to pull the spurs off and throw the boots away when I said "Whoa, I gotta paint those!"

"Empty Tipis"

If you look closely you will notice that these tipis are beginning to sag. The people are gone and there is no one to keep the hides taut.

"Moonlight Mare"

I photographed this skinny old mare on the Sonoran Desert in Mexico. She was a range horse and it was slim pickings. Still, her beauty was accented by the way the light hit her. She seemed to accept her lot in life as she plodded along behind her foal.
