"Shaman's Cave"

My interpretation of 'Painted Cave' on the California coast. This sacred Chumash site, thought to be at least 2000 yrs old, appears to record the arrival of the Spanish, and has, in fact been layered by various artists throughout time. The Chumash tribe's world was governed by the movements of the stars and planets, and this is reflected in their Shamanistic rock art. Imagine these walls by firelight!!! I do.
